eStyleCentral.com is partnering with eStyleConnect.com to revolutionize the way orders are written and processed in our industry. The ramifications are far reaching, however there is no question that this new technology will thrust us into the 21st century.
1)Basic overview of concept
a)Store owner.buyer will use an iPad, Android Tablet, a laptop or any wireless user interface to “write” their orders to a database that is accessible through the Internet.
b)iPads are the best/easiest solution, however any device that can access the Internet with a wireless connection can be used.
c)Buyer enters showroom and automatically picks up that manufacturer's or rep's wireless connection
d)The manufacturer or rep enters the manufacturer’s password into your device
e)If an account was previously created the buyer will enter his/her email address and password; otherwise they will create their eSC account if this is the first time it is being used.
f)The sales rep shows the collection as he always has; the only difference is the buyer has an iPad or other device rather then an order form. Thumbnails of the entire collection appear on the iPad screen, buyer can touch Zoom to see full screen image. (NOTE: If images are not yet available TN will show; “Image Not Available & the Style #”. Once images are available they will be uploaded to the database and all TN’s will be updated with most current image).
g)Important to note at this juncture; there will never be any obligation on the part of the buyer or the manufacturer to use this system in every instance. If they prefer to write their order on an order copy they are able to do so. The sales rep can take control of the iPad at that time and enter what the buyer is ordering, but even this is not necessary. Paper orders can be taken and entered into eSC later on, or orders can completely by-pass the eSC system and be entered directly into the manufacturer’s current system.
i)The data from the orders that are processed through the eSC system will be made available in electronic format for the manufacturers to download. (Yes, what you are thinking is true; if everyone uses the eSC system, no more order entry after the show!) This electronic data can be used by the manufacturer to automatically export the data to their current order processing system. During the show real time information based on actual or pending orders will be available instantly. Many printable & on screen reports will be available with the program, but custom reports can be added as well.
j)Hard copy printouts can be made immediately after the order is processed for buyer, manufacturer and sales rep, however the order is not only already entered, but it is also automatically available on the database to printout anywhere or anytime by the manufacturer through the eStyleCentral.com Manufacturer Admin Panel. We can also add an alternate password for each sales rep so they can access data on their stores. Orders are accessible anywhere online so the copies can actually be printed at the manufacturer’s corporate office and at the store immediately after they are submitted.
k)The electronic data will be available for the store to upload to their POS system, which will not only include the style detail but also the image, descriptions, and any other info that is provided to eSC by the manufacturer.
l)The store owner can also easily upload the manufacturer’s entire collection (including styles they did not purchase) so that all styles that have the potential for a special order will be on their POS system.
2) What a manufacturer must do to have his collections available for buyers to use eSC to write their orders.
a) A manufacturer must provied eStyleCentral.com with an Excel Spreadsheet with all of their style details at least one week before the first day of the Market. If images of the collection are available then the manufacturer can provide the images as well, if images are not available at that time then an "Image not Available" thumbnail will be displayed.
